Originating after regional inspiration from CUNA Mutual in 2006 and formally launched in 2008, BCUAS operates to safeguard the savings and loans of credit union members while keeping financial benefits at home in Belize.

Our Structure
BCUAS is owned by Belizean credit unions and administered through the Belize Credit Union League (BCUL).
BCUL acts as administrator and is responsible for:
- Collecting premiums
- Keeping funds in trust
- Managing accounts and investments
- Processing and paying approved claims within 14 days
- Ensuring compliance, transparency, and annual reporting
